As you can see from the crap I've been uploading lately, almost none of it has anything to do with... anything.
I draw Rhie too much, there's something wrong with me.

Anyways, I just wanted to update you guys on some stuff, especially since a lot of you read my comics.
Annnd, there have been like two people who cared enough to ask me what's up with Psyche.
So I'mma tell ya.
Okay, so, the deal is this. I've been working on the comic for a year, and at this point, everything plot-wise is completely worked out. I already know that in the process of actually drawing it, things are going to change. That always happens, no matter how hard I try not to let it, so I accept it for what it is and move on.
Art-wise, I think that my abilities have obviously far surpassed what they were when I started. And since I feel that they will continue to develop in a positive way, I've been leaning away from doing actual pages.
This is so I don't get fed up with old-new pages (that... is confusing) and force myself to redo them AGAIN because I feel I'm better at some point in the future, blah blah blah, you get it.
Anyways, this basically means that I'm going to focus on improving, as I have been for this entire stretch of not-drawing where updates have disappeared entirely. I would like to get a solid grip on a decent style and I will probably end up redoing the pages that are ALREADY redone (except the title page, I love that. Nyeh, heh).
Yes, that's right.
Technically, nothing is done, so far. Sad, depressing truth (especially to me, since I know that it's going to take FOREVERRR to finish drawing the entire thing even when I am happy with my style).
Alright, so now that you know that nothing will happen there for a long time, you can rest assured that "fillers" of sorts will pop up here and there while I practice perspective and anatomy. Probably nothing full-blown and awesome, but lots and lots of sketches.

Okay, now here's the big deal I saved for last about Psyche. I don't like some of the old ideas from the beginning of the comic. Render was originally just... thrown together. He was not well thought out, as most people can probably see from just looking at him. I mean, I don't even have an EXCUSE for why he chooses to have cat appendages.
TL;DR: Render is getting a permanent style change, and his appearance will not change throughout the duration of the comic. I'll have a sketch sometime soon of him whenever I get around to it. No worries, though. He's still going to be the heartless prick that you guys seem to like.

As a final note, I'd like to remind the slightly more impatient people I know of something. (Don't worry, no one on DA is being singled out. In fact, no one on DA complains. But realizing this is good for ya anyways.)
I am doing this comic for myself. I know it probably sounds selfish and makes me look like an asshole, but I could not care less if everyone turns around and starts hating me for a little change I happen to make. Think of Tegaki E, when they added opacity. Guess what, it's staying, so if you don't like it, go ahead and leave.
But that's not my main point, not really anyhow. I'm doing this at my own pace because I want to be happy with it. I'm not even 17 yet. I have all the time in the world to be happy with myself and what I do, and I won't be pressured into doing something before I'm ready.
And for the love of god, don't misunderstand me. I love my fans (i rly, rly do <3 ) and I accept your support and suggestions. But ultimately, I do this for myself. If anyone is offended or disappointed along the way, I regret that and apologize.

Alright, that's out of the way. Work will continue with Never Grow Up and Porcelain since I'm happy with the styles for those. Don't expect anything soon, though, because... well, because I'm lazy, LOL.
That and a boy is eating up my time, now.
(Not that I complain.)

TL;DR
Psyche isn't updating because I'm getting a grip on my style and practicing. Render is getting a permanent style change. Never Grow Up and Porcelain will continue to be worked on, though slowly.
